In 2018 Rüdiger Koch started building the first full size early prototype for what is now known as the SeaPod. We have come a long way since these early days. Rudy has been hard at work these 5 years to bring a radically innovative new way of living on the sea into the world.

Rudy has done an amazing job of getting us to this point and now it is time for us to take the baton that he has passed us and run with it. It is with great sadness that we announce today that Rudy is stepping down as President and Chief Engineer of Ocean Builders for health reasons, effective immediately. He will continue in an advisory role.

We are very excited about the incredible future ahead of us at Ocean Builders and the product roadmap ahead of us thanks to what he has started.

Chad Elwartowski, one of the three co-founders of Ocean Builders will be taking over the position of President of Ocean Builders, alongside Grant Romundt as CEO.

We wish Rudy the best in whatever is next for him.
