SeaPod Eco Floorplan

SEAPOD ECO

The Eco in SeaPod Eco stands for Economy, Eco-friendly, and Eco-restorative.

From our first prototype…

We launched our original engineering prototype in February 2019. It was an octagonal box and it was functional but not pretty. We have come a long way since then.

SEAPOD ECO

In April 2019 we started brainstorming what a production floating home would look like. We wanted something with much bigger windows. We wanted a large outdoor space that was protected from the sun. We wanted a super simple design that could be manufactured quickly, economically, and easily from anywhere in the world. We wanted something that could be shipped in a cargo container and assembled anywhere. We wanted to have a more attractive design with sexy curves on the outside.

FROM CONCEPT TO PRODUCTION

We went through multiple iterations of shapes and styles and conceptual models and we came up with an early version of the EcoPod. We are now reviving this model and applying everything we have learned in the last 2 years of intensive R&D to make the new EcoPod.

HOME AWAY FROM EMF

A growing number of people are reporting that they are sensitive to Electromagnetic Frequencies (EMF) which can come from high density of cell towers, cell phones, wifi networks, and more.

When we set out to design the smartest home on planet ocean, we wanted to make it comfortable even for residents and visitors that are sensitive to EMF’s.

Having a home on the water automatically removes you from the high density of EMF radiation of city life.

Modern smart homes use radio frequencies to connect to dozens or hundreds of smart devices. We have designed a unique smart home system without using radio waves. All the smart home sensors and devices are wired with special EMF shielding wires to bring potentially harmful radio waves to a minimum. The only wireless in the Pod is internet WiFi which you can set to automatically shut down throughout the house at a specified time each day. Each room is also wired with ethernet cables if you prefer to bypass WiFi entirely.
