Day 100: We’ve officially passed our goal of 100 Days Living in the Underwater Room! We will continue for another 20 days for a final 120 day count.
As the minutes ticked down to this monumental milestone, the excitement was palpable. Ten minutes before hitting the 100-day mark, Grant playfully asked Rudy, “Do you think you’ll make it?” Rudy’s witty response? “I like it here; I think I’ll stay a bit longer.”
Even Goustafo, the friendly snapper who has become a regular visitor during Rudy’s underwater stay, joined in the celebrations. Spirits soared as the team toasted to this incredible achievement with a glass of Flor de Caña 25-year-old rum, a thoughtful gift from friends that perfectly matched the significance of the occasion.
Every moment beyond Day 100 is now uncharted territory. With the next target, 120 days, set for January 24th, preparations for another grand celebration are already underway.
So, how does it feel to turn this dream into reality?
With a big smile, Rudy shared, “It feels almost surreal. We’ve worked toward this for so long, and now that it’s finally happening, it’s like it all came together in the blink of an eye. Every moment from here on feels like an added bonus.
Grant added, “Breaking this record proves that it can be done. People doubted us, said it wasn’t possible, but here we are. Not just living on the water, but thriving beneath it. Not for one day, but for 100 days and counting.”
