Drone Landing Pad Concept for Boats
We are designing a drone delivery system that will be able to fly deliveries like medicine, a pizza, some wine or beer, a small package, laundry, or anything else that it can carry. While we wanted to have this service available on the SeaPod, we think that it could be very useful even for people…

Unloading Steel Day 2 – The easy way
After the first day of unloading our steel tubes from these shipping containers, we came back better prepared on the second day. The first day involved anchoring the steel and driving the truck forward and letting it drop on the ground. This worked, but it wasn’t how we wanted to do things. On the second day,…

Grant is back at the factory with another exciting update. We have recently taken delivery of some of the steel tubes which will be used to create the outriggers and central spars for the SeaPod floating base.Since steel isn’t manufactured in tubes, we have to take the flat sheets that we get and roll them…
Measuring water level in tanks
Since the SeaPod won’t be supplied by city water or a well like most houses are, we have to store water onboard since our water supply is limited. Things like the shower or the sinks will be supplied with fresh water that is stored in large holding tanks. These tanks will act as a reserve so…
Fine Details on Bottom of SeaPod Mold
As we move towards the actual production of the SeaPod, we will have to work out the kinks in the molds. You can see here that we have all 16 pieces of the mold for the bottom of the SeaPod mounted together. Before we can actually use the mold and start laying fiberglass inside of it,…

Driverless Boat Project Interview
One of the exciting projects that we have been working on is our Driverless Boat project. Similar to the way that Tesla and Uber have been developing driverless cars and trucks on land, we are working on a boat that can drive itself to your destination while you sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride…
Marine Survey Results – Week 1
Most humans have a very eco-destructive way of living. We clear cut trees and plants to lay huge foundations for houses and we dig up the earth and disturb ecosystems to install sewer systems or electricity. One of the biggest goals that we have here at Ocean Builders is to create a way for humans…

Theft AI Project Interview
A common question that we get is “what is Theft AI?” Essentially, it is a security system that can watch the surrounding areas near your SeaPod and identify unknown boats or objects that are approaching your home. Similar to a neighborhood watch program on land, the Theft AI will keep an eye on your surroundings…
SeaPod Roof Timelapse

Bathroom Sink Automation
Omer Larrañaga Technology
We want everything in the SeaPod to work as seamlessly and automatically as possible while also delivering a sleek and minimalistic appearance throughout the home.
