We’ve designed a smart, remote-controlled jet ski winch to enhance effortless docking and lifting for the SeaPod.
Traditional winches require manual operation, meaning you must be physically present to raise or lower the jet ski onto the platform.
This makes things tricky when you’re out on the water approaching the SeaPod, as you either need someone on deck to assist or have to dock elsewhere and get off to adjust the winch yourself.
To solve this issue, we’ve developed a smart, remote-controlled jet ski winch system, a much-needed upgrade that makes docking and lifting completely effortless. Now, with the touch of a button, you can lower the platform, glide in, and lift your jet ski up without any assistance.
One of the best parts about this new system is its versatility. Unlike traditional remote controls, which are easy to misplace and often stop working when they get wet, this winch operates through a smartphone app. Whether you’re using an iPhone or Android, you can simply download the app and control the winch from anywhere.
While there are off-the-shelf remote control systems available for winches, they come with several drawbacks. Most are not online-enabled, meaning you’re limited to a physical remote that can be easily misplaced or damaged. Water exposure is another major issue, most remotes are not designed to withstand wet environments, making them unreliable in an ocean setting.
By integrating this winch with a smart home system and mobile app, we’ve eliminated these concerns. If you ever forget your physical remote, you can simply use your phone, tablet, or computer to operate the winch. This kind of flexibility ensures you’re never stuck without a way to lift your jet ski, no matter where you are.
Since the winch system is controlled via a mobile app, keeping your phone protected on the water is essential. A waterproof phone case is a great option, allowing you to wear it around your neck for quick access. Alternatively, you can store your phone in the jet ski’s waterproof compartment, keeping it dry but easily reachable when needed.
For extra security, a floating waterproof pouch provides an additional layer of protection, ensuring your phone remains safe even in rough waters. These simple precautions mean you can always access the winch controls without worrying about damaging your device.
