Five years ago, Ocean Builders launched an early SeaPod prototype in Thailand which was codenamed ‘XLII’. Today we are commemorating this first major milestone and exploring the meaningful concepts behind the name.
The adventure began in 2017 with a vision that materialized into the XLII octagonal prototype. A few years later, we unveiled the Flagship model and SeaPod Alpha Blue, before swiftly progressing into our third SeaPod design, the deep water model, Alpha Deep. These three Pod designs symbolize the evolution from our early prototype in Thailand five years ago to our current innovative Pod designs.
The Significance of 42 in XLII
The prototype, christened “XLII” like the iconic number “42” from Douglas Adams’s book The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, carries a significance beyond mere digits.
