We’re excited to announce the latest upgrade to our Deepwater SeaPod – a rooftop helipad!
This new addition elevates the entire SeaPod experience, offering unprecedented access to the open ocean and setting a new standard in luxury living on the water.
We recently welcomed our first visitors aboard SeaPod Alpha Deep who arrived by helicopter, marking a new chapter in SeaPod living where luxury and innovation converge like never before.
In this recent milestone, the SeaPod hosted a R66 helicopter for its inaugural landing on the rooftop helipad. This event showcased the incredible potential of this addition, accommodating the helicopter’s 561 kg weight and a total combined load of 1100 kg, including fuel, luggage, and passengers. Under the meticulous guidance of Head Engineer, Rüdiger Koch, every detail was planned to perfection. The SeaPod settled approximately 50 cm upon landing, just as anticipated, effortlessly absorbing the impact.
The addition of helipads to SeaPods will transform the SeaPod lifestyle, elevating both functionality and luxury. It offers swift, easy access for quick getaways, special occasions, or emergencies. Designed with a non-slip rubber surface and secure tie-downs, the helipad ensures every landing is safe and stable. This feature seamlessly integrates with our eco-smart design, which includes solar roofing and sustainable technology.
Looking ahead, we’re looking forward to welcoming more guests and showcase the SeaPod’s full potential. This is just the beginning, our journey of innovation continues with exciting features on the horizon, including drone delivery docks and wave energy as a renewable power source.
Join us on our journey as we continue to innovate and push the boundaries of what’s possible, bringing us closer to realizing our vision of scalable floating communities.
