2024 Recap: A Year of Progress and Possibilities

As we reflect on 2024, it’s incredible to see how far we’ve come and the milestones we’ve achieved together. This year has been nothing short of transformative, with bold moves, groundbreaking projects, and inspiring conversations that have brought the future of ocean habitation closer to reality.

We kicked off the year with a significant move: relocating Alpha Blue from Linton Bay Marina to its picturesque new home next to Isla Linton. This relocation demonstrated one of the SeaPod’s most unique features, its ability to move, offering flexibility unlike traditional homes. After almost a year in its initial location, Alpha Blue is now settling into its new location, continuing to showcase the versatility and potential of floating homes.

One of the year’s most memorable moments was the launch of our Lifestyle Video. Over several days of filming, we captured the essence of the SeaPod Lifestyle, sharing our vision with the world. This project helped us bring our dream of ocean living to life, showcasing how SeaPods can transform the way we live, work, and play on the water.

Next, we launched our second residential SeaPod, SeaPod Alpha Deep, to deeper waters. What began as a ballast chamber, integral to the SeaPod’s structural design, gradually evolved into a recreational underwater environment. This transformation culminated in the Guinness World Record attempt for the longest stay in a fixed underwater habitat. With the world watching, this incredible journey not only highlighted the potential of ocean habitation but also sparked meaningful conversations about its future. Events like the Free Cities Conference, where our CEO Grant Romundt took the stage, amplified these discussions on a global platform.

Another proud achievement was completing the Helipad and hosting our first visitors, who arrived by helicopter to experience the SeaPod firsthand. Rudy even held his first underwater meeting, marking a significant milestone in our journey to redefine how people can interact with the ocean environment.

The conversation around ocean habitation grew further with key moments like our meeting with Cristina and Klaus, where we explored the role of AI in advancing sustainable ocean living.

These discussions, paired with our growing media presence, have helped elevate awareness of the SeaPod’s eco-restorative potential and the role technology plays in shaping the future.

From shining a light on the SeaPod’s role in ocean restoration to pushing the boundaries of AI and marine innovation, 2024 has been a year of remarkable progress. As we look ahead to 2025, we’re excited to continue this journey with even more ambitious projects.
We wish you a festive season filled with joy and inspiration. Here’s to another year of innovation, exploration, and growth.

Happy Floating!
