A few days ago, we had a little off-work time to give gift bags to our factory staff. They work so hard and so well that we wanted to do a little something for them.
Staff appreciation is crucial to create a positive environment. It involves acknowledging the hard work of our employees and team mates. So, instead of just handing the shirts out, we wanted to create an opportunity where our CEO, Grant, gets to shake everyone’s hand and say “thank you.” Handing out these simple gift bags it’s a small gesture, but it goes a long way. We have an amazing team in all departments, including fiberglass, electrical and others, so it’s important for us to give them the attention they deserve.
Receiving a handshake from our boss and a smile from our colleagues at the end of a long day unites us, even if it’s just for a short amount of time as we run past each, working under pressure to get the job done. Showing appreciation boosts morale and increases positivity like we’ve seen on that day!
We handed out 25 bags. Each staff member got a cotton bag, T-Shirt and a lanyard. Nothing spectacular, but the smile on their faces and the “Thank you” from Grant is what made it a lasting memory.
After this small gesture of appreciation and laughter, it reminded us how important staff appreciation is. And that there is always more that can be done to improve the overall morale of staff like Staff Appreciation days, Team Building events, Employee of the month and of course our annual staff Christmas party which we are very much looking forward to!
