Greetings, ocean enthusiasts! The intrepid team at Ocean Builders just completed a thrilling plunge beneath the waves to visit our newest innovation, the Alpha Deep SeaPod.

Launched several months ago, this deep-water haven is still under construction, with only the base section currently gracing the ocean surface. But wait, where’s the house? It’s coming soon, but before it joins the party, we wanted to check in and see how Alpha Deep is weathering its aquatic adventure.

So, equipped with scuba tanks and an insatiable curiosity, we descended into the turquoise depths. What did we find? Everything is holding up magnificently!

The chains and anchors, vital lifelines connecting Alpha Deep to the seabed, were in pristine condition. Even more exciting, the spar, the central column anchoring the pod, was already attracting its first residents! Barnacles, nature’s tiny marine engineers, were busily attaching themselves, a welcome sign of healthy marine life interacting with our structure.

This is exactly what we envisioned: Alpha Deep seamlessly integrating into its ocean environment, becoming a home not just for humans, but for a diverse ecosystem as well.

This was just the first of many dives planned for Alpha Deep. We’ll be conducting regular inspections, about once a week, to ensure everything continues to run smoothly. And, of course, the big moment is fast approaching – the attachment of the SeaPod itself! We already did a connection test last November, but we are waiting for the right weather conditions to safely secure both elements to each other. Stay tuned for further updates as we transform Alpha Deep into a fully functional ocean oasis.
