The SeaPod is packed with home automation technology that will make life on the water more convenient. We automated every aspect that we could and the lock on the “front” door is no different.
The front door can be easily locked or unlocked from your home automation app on the tablets inside the home as well as from your cell phone from anywhere in the world. You’ll never have that feeling of not being sure if you locked the door before you ran out to catch your flight again. You can simply open the app and see the status of the lock and then lock it if needed.
The lock can also be operated with the smart ring so you won’t have to fumble with keys while your hands are full of groceries, you can simply pass your hand by the reader and it will unlock the door for you. All of this runs through the home automation system that is controlled by the brain computer down in the engineering room.
But what if your SeaPod has no power, or the WiFi is down and you can’t connect through the app to unlock the home? The locking mechanism will still operate with a traditional key in that situation so that even if all else fails, you can still lock or unlock your SeaPod with a key.
This lock will be mounted on the door frame and the bolt from the lock will slide into the reinforced receiver on the new door(link to main door v2) to keep everything secure. We know you’ll love this automatic lock system and you might even want to install it on your home on land!
