At Ocean Builders, we love technology as much as we love sustainable living innovation. That’s why we designed the Pods with as much technological advances as possible. The goal isn’t to have them just for the sake of it, but to make living in the Pods as convenient as possible. That’s what the Smart Ring helps doing.

Take entering your home for example. When living in such a futuristic-looking place like the Seapods, would you imagine tangling your old-fashion keys? Of course not. Waving your hand in front of the sensor to open the door would make more sense.

The same thing would happen in the smart shower. How in 2022 are we still fighting over shower settings? With the NFC Smart Ring, a simple touch will set everything to how the user prefers to enjoy his shower.

We made a couple of tests to make sure that it would work the way we just described it to you. Thus, we played around with two wall materials used in the Pods where NFC sensors will be located: fibreglass and a thicker wood panel. Both worked perfectly as with a gentle wave above the ring reader, a very welcomed “bip” follows. We’re very confident about everything we designed. Still, it’s always a relief when tests validate our original assumptions so perfectly. There’s still a bit of fine-tuning to do, but it’s going to be ready for installation very soon.
